Results
In a nutshell, the event obtained the following results.
- 250 people discussing and sharing experiences about laicism over three days.
- 66 speakers (academics, thinkers, politicians, representatives, researchers) from Spain, Europe and America.
- The project brought together people from over 40 locations in Spain, and from Guatemala, Colombia, Morocco, France, Italy, Belgium and Romania.
- High level of participation before and after the event, with contributions and meetings with experts and organizations to prepare the Forum and during the subsequent assessment stage. A total of 137 people took part in the assessment process for the online project, making important contributions and showing interest in continuing to work on the project.
- The event attracted 90 institutions from Catalonia, from the rest of Spain, Europe and Latin America, which contributed to the dialogue and were willing to push on and to continue working together to achieve a society and institutions that guarantee freedom of conscience and, therefore, to take an active part in the construction of a democracy that tolerates and respects fundamental freedoms and human rights.
- From the start participants welcomed the creation of the Forum and were very interested in taking part. Furthermore, during and after the event they have conveyed their satisfaction. On a scale of ten, 81% of the participants give the Forum a global rating of 7 or more.
- Progress has been made on the political and social fronts, establishing a meeting point, agreeing on lines of work and opening channels for people and organizations from different fields to work together to achieve a society that guarantees civil freedom and equality.
